We don't sell your data. We don't share it for marketing. We don't store your GPS coordinates. We collect only what's needed for the service to work.
What We Collect

Location Privacy
Your location data is treated with extra care:
- No GPS coordinates stored - We only track your position as "miles along your route"
- No location tracking between trips - When you're not on a trip, we don't know where you are
- Route data deleted immediately - When your trip ends, route data is gone
- No location history - We don't build profiles of where you've been
Third-Party Services
We share limited data with these services to provide functionality:

Security
- HTTPS everywhere - All connections are encrypted in transit
- Data encrypted at rest - Stored via Cloudflare KV with encryption
- PII auto-redacted - Credit cards, SSNs, API keys automatically removed from support tickets
- Data isolated per user - Your data is separated from other users
Your Controls
You have control over your data:
- Clear preferences anytime - Use the clear_preferences tool in the app
- Use your own API key - Bring your own Google Maps key if preferred
- Request data export - Contact support to get a copy of your data
- Request deletion - Contact support to delete your account and data
Children's Privacy
Roadtrip Buddy is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe we have collected data from a child, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Significant changes will be communicated via the app or email. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance.
